Reimagining the colors of the rainbow with the 7th Rainbow in my heart art competition winners


In celebration of Rotary International's motto, Service Above Self, a special art competition in partnership that began 8 years ago was created by the Rotary Club of Bandar Utama in celebration of the potentials of Children and young adults with different cognitive abilities and conditions . “Rainbow in My Heart” art competition began and was recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records for “The Largest Participation of Special Needs People in an Art Competition” with 200 participants in 2012


Since then, the Rotary Club of Bandar Utama has held the art competition annually and this year , RCBU partnered with us, Artdialogo Asia for the 7th art competition and due to the Pandemic, the contest was launched online and successfully received 150 entries across the country.

This year theme for the art competition is synonymous with Malaysia Day with the theme , Celebrating Malaysia in colours, diversity and inclusion.




The art competition is is designed exclusively for those who were diagnosed with Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Global Development Delay, ADD, ADHD, Williams syndrome, slow leaner and dyslexia.

The contest has ran from 20th August to 12th Sept 2020. The artworks were judges by esteemed artists from Malaysia, Honey Khor and Ismael Baba together with our founding artist, Anna Karina Jardin.


The winners for the contest are:

Category A

1st place-Nur Amirah Aqeelah Binti Ramzyzan

2nd place - Ong Cheng Hee

3rd - Chan Wan Tuck


Category B

1st- Chiang Pang Siong

2nd- Fam Si Zhe

3rd- Chan Wen Hwee

All winners received a cash prize, certificate and special gift.

Indeed, we have received many beautiful works and it is truly inspiring to hear all the participants' aspirations for a cohesive and socially inclusive country through art. Congratulations to everyone!
